Obstetrics And Gynaecology
Obstetrics and Gynecology is clinical subject concerned with female diseases, pregnancy, delivery and post delivery period with their complication. This clinical subject is studied with demonstration on patients. This subject is studied in IInd and IIIrd year B.H.M.S. M.V.H.S exam are conducted in IIIrd year B.H.M.S. with 3 theory papers of 300 marks and 200 marks practical oral exam with case takings.
Obstetrics is part concerned with pregnancy, delivery and post delivery period with their physiological changes and complications. Obstetrics includes neonatology which leads to study of neonate i.e. newborn baby with their normal physiology and disorders.
Gynecology is part concerned with female genital organs, menstrual cycle and their disorder like fibroid, PID, menstrual disorder, Carcinoma etc. In this subject contraception and gynecological operatives also studied.
